Hi! I’m April Vidal...

and I’m a boudoir photographer and body image activist.

What does that mean?

It means that I work with women and provide them with an experience that allows them to be themselves and break through barriers that they’ve lived behind most of their lives. With some hard work I help my clients step out of our comfort zones and together we are able to create amazing images that document who she is, right now.

You read that right, who she is right now; not who she might be 10 pounds lighter, 10 years younger or any other excuse we as women come up with.

I believe that there is no end to our body image journey, but there is a start and I am here to help guide women in the right direction toward self love and acceptance. I strive to help women arrive at body neutrality in their own body image journey. In this space, we are able to look in the mirror and accept the woman we see staring back at us.

I’m An Introvert To My Very Core!

Yup! I walk the walk! As much as my clients step out of their comfort zones, I’m right there with them doing the exact same thing!

I’ve lived with PTSD for 10 years. You know that stupid question people ask “who are you”…well, I have two answers. There is the girl I was before my brother passed away and the woman I became after. I am a strong believer that there is a plan for all of us, and I’m thankful to have found my path pretty early in life; but I didn't find it easily. It was after I wanted to commit suicide that I found boudoir, during a time when I didn’t know where I belonged in this world and I truly believe it saved me. There are still times my depression gets the best of me, but thanks to this business I’ve created and the powerful work I do, being around my amazing clients heals me, as I help heal them.

My mission in life and business is to provide a safe place for women to be themselves at any stage of their life and to celebrate them for who they are now, not for who the world wishes they would be.
